Rakers

Is the second episode an anticlimax? It's probably just how I remember it after the expectation raised by the first. Watching it again it's a solid story. Maybe it's just that I was bad at sports...

It introduces some good new characters and establishes that the series is going to take the TV movie's satirical bent to the -er- max. The only problem is that the surprise of Theora's brother isn't: we don't know the characters well enough.

Body Banks *should* have been the second episode. If you'll look elsewhere on this site, you'll see a list of the episodes in production order, rather than airdate order. It makes the overall impression a little easier. But, yes, you are correct; we don't know the characters well enough. The writers kept dropping little tidbits out each episode, teasing us with their backstory. Occasionally, an episode would fill in the missing pieces, but not many.

Production order isn't always intended broacast order, though. Unless it was at this time for US TV?

It's a very confident episode on the social and media satire front, just perhaps *over*-confident on the character development front. smile
